Hello!

I am Gemma, my main role is mummy to two beautiful children . They inspire and excite me everyday and kindly allow me to experiment with my photography on them too!

I worked as a nanny before having my own children and was always photographing the children I looked after. I developed a really good understanding of children and I believe this has helped me to be able to quickly build up a rapport with little ones and big ones alike. In those days I was using basic point and shoot cameras, it was only after I got to try out a DSLR that I realised my full potential. Once I purchased my own I quickly began developing my skills anyway possible.

I have always loved portraiture, I have a natural love and curiosity of people and I think they are exciting and challenging to photograph, especially children!

I think in many ways my love of photography has always been there as a child I loved looking at old images and imagining the story behind them. As I grew up I began taking more and more photographs myself and having my own children made me see how important it is to be able to somehow freeze that precious moment in time in a snapshot. We all change over time but children it seems to happen so very quickly!  Photos to me are little reminders of events, a time, a place, a person that we may not completely forget but the details slowly fade with time, photographs capture those details forever.
